About Us

South Coast Welding Academy is an industrial trade school offering various welding technology programs that are designed to provide comprehensive hands on training to prepare students for immediate employment in the industry. In the last couple of years, companies throughout the United States have been feeling the effect of shortage for qualified welders. Currently there is a demand for skilled welders in many industries such as construction, ship-building, petrochemical, fabrication shops, pipeline and many more. Here at South Coast Welding Academy, we want to help out the workforce by training new individuals to become proficient welders. It is our goal to provide you with an effective and faster way to learn the welding trade. We serve entry level students as well as those who have prior welding experience and wish to learn a new process for further advancement. SCWA is conviniently located in Houston, TX near the ship-channel and various petrochemical complexes in dire need of welders. We welcome you to stop by and take a tour of our state of the art facility.

Financial Aid

Our school is a training provider for:

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
Texas Workforce Solutions / Texas Workforce Commission
TWC Vocational Rehabilitation Services previously known as Department of Assistive & Rehabilitation Services (DARS).

Financial Aid is available for those who qualify through these agencies.

Potential students are encouraged to stop by our school, take a tour of the facility, meet our Instructors and talk to an admissions representative to determine what class would best fit their career path. Participants must then contact their appropriate financial aid agency to start the application process. These agencies will determine eligibility for Financial Aid.
